THE KREMLIN IN MOSCOW

THE HISTORIC FORTRESS AT THE CENTRE OF THE CITY.

Dominating the Borovitski hill, the Moscow Kremlin is the historic centre of the city, an area which has been inhabited since prehistoric times. Surrounded by massive ramparts, some of which have been reconstructed, the Kremlin was the residence of the tsars, the soviet leadership, and today, by the country’s president.
Looking out over Red Square, the Kremlin shelters within its outer walls dotted with its 19 towers, numerous buildings such as the Cathedral of Saint Michael the Archangel, the Church of the Twelve Apostles, the Grand Kremlin Palace and the Senate.
