The former Governor's house is one of the most important heritage buildings in Queensland.
The Old Government House was built in Brisbane and is the first public building to have been constructed in the emerging colony of Queensland.
The foundation stone was laid in 1860 and the inauguration took place two years later. The building served as home to the Governor and his family. The Old Government House is a relic of Queenland's and Australia's colonial past.
