EDEN PARK

HOME OF THE ALL BLACKS.

The largest stadium in New Zealand, Eden Park hosted the final of the Rugby World Cup between France and New Zealand. Located at the foot of the Eden volcano, a stadium was first built here around 1900. It was at first home to the Auckland cricket team however in 1921 rugby took over here.

For the Rugby World Cup in 2011, Eden Park got a makeover and the capacity of its stands increased from 48,000 to 60,000 seats. Note that it is Auckland club's home stadium for the national provincial championship, but is home to the Auckland Blues during the Super 15.
